Wi-Fi hardware layer (AppleOLYHAL) - PCIe timeout or failure
Reference imported from the supplied decoder v6.21 database. This entry has not been independently validated here. A matching log does not establish a failed component.
Supplied troubleshooting notes
AppleOLYHAL is the Wi-Fi (WLAN) hardware layer on the PCIe link between the SoC and the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module. "Timeout period ... waiting for event message" means the module stopped answering the SoC. One panic can be firmware or iOS; the same string repeating, or Wi-Fi greyed out, points to the module or its PCIe link. From iOS 26 the Broadcom Wi-Fi driver runs as a DriverKit process (AppleBCMWLAN); AppleOLYHAL is the kernel layer under it and also links the Bluetooth serial transport. Likely: Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module firmware or iOS, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module or its PCIe lines (when it repeats). Check Settings > Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and Settings > General > About > Wi-Fi Address: greyed-out Wi-Fi or "N/A" means the module is not answering at all. Software first: update to the latest iOS, Reset Network Settings, then run a day with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off. Fewer or no panics with them off points to the wireless path. DFU restore if it repeats on the latest iOS. The same AppleOLYHAL string after a clean restore: board level, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module and its PCIe lines (after liquid or a drop, inspect that area first). Do not reflow underfilled ICs on this panic alone. Confirm the repair by several days without a new panic-full.
