What to understand
Start with model identification, repair history and visible damage. Disconnect all external power before resistance or continuity measurements.
ESD discipline, battery isolation, insulated tools, safe microscope working distance and a clean bench reduce preventable faults. A swollen, punctured or hot lithium battery is not a practice target.
On a multimeter, VOLTAGE is measured in parallel and CURRENT is measured in series with the load. Placing the meter in current mode directly across a voltage source can create a short circuit.
Safe practical workflow
- Inspect the training board, battery connector and work area while power is disconnected.
- Identify the multimeter COM, V/Ω and A/mA ports and write down which port is appropriate for each measurement.
- Set a current-limited bench supply only for a protected dummy load; never guess a phone rail supply voltage.
- Record equipment IDs, polarity checks, the date and any safety concern before testing.
हिंदी में मुख्य बात
सबसे पहले सुरक्षित वर्कस्टेशन तैयार करें। बैटरी और पावर को अलग करके ही continuity या resistance नापें। गलत meter mode से short हो सकता है।
Your practical assignment
Create a safety checklist with at least six checks; photograph or describe your isolated dummy-load setup.
Use the AIFlasher bench worksheet for measured values, observations, unknowns and next tests. A simulated case is acceptable if you do not have the instrument yet.
